Aloha everyone! Im trying to promote an event \ fundraiser for Cancer called Beat the Crap Out of Cancer in October.  The date is TBD. The event will take place in 3 other locations California, Illinois and Canada.  Last year the event was held in Canada only but they were able to raise about 8,000.  This time we would like to hold in several locations and hopefully start at around the same time.

The event will be Dog Brother like in spirit in that it's not a tournament.  You show up, ask people if they like scrap then get in line, do your thing and get back in line and do it again.  In order to get maximum participation the event will be live stick or padded and other gear will be allowed. However both fighters must agree to have similar gear i.e. live stick vs live stick or padded vs padded no live vs padded. I know its sounds dumb but wanted to say it anyway.  Some details are being worked out among the group such as the date but feel free to stop by http://www.facebook.com/BeatCancer808   <--- Hawaii page.

If you want to get in on the planning \ promotion action then check out the following group:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_188216407866418&ap=1

Feel free to leave comments here or suggestions.

Creight, Shelton???   You down??   Very Happy   Not calling you out but would LOVE to have you guys and others come out and play!

We'll see when Oct rolls around. Jun 20th I begin the process of working on my shoulder. 1st step is physical therapy, re-evaluation then followup with surgery if results aren't satisfactory....so maybe I'll be up to it  Laughing I was considering doing Burton's event last year and figured I could effectively fight at least 1 match before shoulder failure....too bad it got canceled?  Sad ....or lucky  Confused  LOL!

Knee wise I should be fully recovered from my MCL tear given to me by the "Destroyer of Joints on Old Guys" (DJOG) aka Scott!  Shocked  (recall Terry's torn shoulder???  Razz)

Don't worry, if I'm physically able to do it I'll be sure to kidnap Cr8 at gunpoint and bring him  Twisted Evil
