The party that was pursued, one of the males had his shirt off as the female in pink ran up to him at the crosswalk. To me this could have been mutual taunting.
was that a taxi? or friends who drove off?
potentially get girls in the vehicle first?

Because of instances like this I wonder if I should develop a protocol with my family to flee, even if it means they are leaving me behind. Unfortunately knowing my gf they would be foolish enough to stay behind and get in the way and psychologically distract me. Some persons just can't be reasoned with and that sometimes applies to women. I'd likely be better off in a fight without them distracting me.
With multiples like this I may vote to flee, and turn around every so often to use some guerilla tactics of hit/run aor grab improv objects along the way to slow them down.

Again I vote pepper spray...And if available glock insurance.

It seems like the thugs started shouting profanity and threats from a great distance before they actually attacked.  You can see in the video that the frontman is encouraged by one of his peers to initiate the attack (with a forward shove).  This would give you plenty of time to retreat and/or ready any weapons systems you had on you.

I know that guns are banned in many European countries, so I'm not sure if that was an option here (though it certainly would be in my neck of the woods).  Both my wife and I carry pepper spray and knives for crowd control purposes (If you carry pepper spray for self-defense, you should also carry a knife so that you'll have a close range weapon in case some of your attackers manage to bridge the gap).  If I go to a high-security area, I typically carry my Cold Steel City Stick, which is a good "crowd pleaser." 

Peregrine makes a good point: you need to make sure your family knows the plan if this kind of thing happens.  I want my wife to grab our toddler and make a tactical retreat, covering herself with pepper spray and knife, while I tee off on the first couple of attackers.  The anonymity of the mob mentality has a tendency to fall apart once the thugs see a few of their friends get wrecked.

in some cities in belgium , groups start to attack innocent people , and put everything on youtube.
the degree of cowardice, madness, and all other negative things is increasing each day.... very sad
