Thanks, Burton!  I wish I could take credit, but I mainly just let Tobias beat on me with a stick for the past couple of years.  It really seemed to help with his power-development. Very Happy

Of course, we all know the real source of Tobias' power is his epic beard! Twisted Evil

Congratulations Coach Jim.

Another validation that BFK can hold up under real contact stickfighting. Poi Dog is a serious veteran with lots of coaching, I rank total live stick fights he's had only out done by Top Dog. Lots of credit to Tobias to step to the scratch line against such a veteran.

Hopefully we can get some annual or regular stick fights between various groups on the island in the spirit of enlightenment for mutual benefit. It's been a long road trying to coordinate people and groups to agree to some sparring with live sticks. With some people schedules, families and illness have been a hinderance, in others maybe the fear of injury, of others the fear of loss of martial status.

A 130lbs, 4'11" filipino that has been training with my group has done the recent Cancer event, making this his 3 or so day of live stick fights. If he can do it, we all can. If you want to take your stick fighting to the next level, live stick against practitioners of other groups is an oppurtune chance to get to grow.
