Mario Sperry's stuff was good for its time. Its pretty old. You may wanna find some information that is more to date.

Save the money aor collaborate with your training group and buy Burtons material. Spending time, effort and money is not worth it to me to spend resources on sub par training.

From my perspective - Time is a commodity, I don't want to waste it learning inferior material or having to retrain bad habits learned.

Mario Sperry's material as mentioned was good for his time, but so much has evolved since then. Just as so much has evolved since the original KAJUKENBO material(your prior posts). If you are getting the material free and have the time and experience to delve seriously into the study of the material to cherry pick it then it is ok to me, but if you are like most people you have time constraints, and other concerns...Buy Burtons material and stick with that.

I'm sorry, but Sperry's BJJ tapes are still some of the best BJJ/Vale Tudo/Submission stuff you will find on the market.  For one it is all very solid, high percentage BJJ that isn't dependent on stellar attributes or specialty BJJ niches.  I still use all the stuff I learned on those tapes (his top control stuff still has as much currency then as it does now, as do his guard passes).  He and Bustamante's tapes (BJJ gi 1) still have great useful De La Riva material that I use all the time.  My advice is that if you have the cash and want to gain an solid grasp of solid, fundamental, high percentage BJJ you could do a lot worse.
