what's interesting is the supramaximal holds, my workout partner and i were discussing these and this article popped up. my friend had done a 10wk or so cycle of it and remarked how much his maximal strength increased(genetic freak, anything works for him), along with his newb 140lbs friend who was able to shrug 600lbs plus(not the smartest idea, i can hear my neck snap) after a 10wk training cycle and bench about 2.5 bw. quite impresisve.
albeit the routine slightly differs from my friends, but we discussed how to implement it into various types of programs, mma, boxing, wrestling, layman, etc.
