Interesting. Crazy when you realize how much power he can aquire from only that short, short distance.

Thanks Bryan,
   First off, notice that when it is demonstrated the receiver holds focus mitts high on his chest and stands upright with his feet together.  This is so he will fly backwards.  It is true that you can generate quite a bit of power, but it is all in the legs and hips.  The flick of the wrist has very little to do with it.  I can teach anyone who can punch well to do the 1 inch punch in about 3 minutes.  
   The hard thing is applying it in sparring.  You have to have your body aligned in a certain way, and you have to be in clinch range.  In actually sparring, it won't have that kind of effect.  If anyone wants to bring a phone book to class, I will demonstrate.  Aloha!

Oh, I never really noticed body positioning during the demonstration, since I'm always so focusd on the punch itself. I'll take another look!
