Burton Richardson’s Universal Sinawali drill is a 10-part double stick routine that has been a favorite of Filipino Martial Arts practitioners for decades. The Advanced Double Stick Partner Sinawali Masterclass consists of very advanced variations of each of the ten sections of the Universal Drill. From understanding combination theory to rhythm changes to extremely challenging coordination, the advanced versions will push any martial artist both mentally and physically.

A very important aspect of learning these new drills is to break ingrained patterns. While we want to develop patterns that flow automatically (especially short, effective fighting combinations), we don’t want to become stuck within patterns that limit our ability to spontaneously flow wherever we need to. These advanced double stick variations will force you to break familiar habits to enhance your ability to move the sticks in any manner that you may want or need. Besides the accomplishment of learning these drills, performing them is just plain fun!
