A white belt 1 stripe can start a training group and be listed on our website as an official training group leader. A blue belt no stripe can take the apprentice instructor test. A purple belt no stripe can take the instructor test.

BJJ For The Street is a complete curriculum that follows a logical progression to take students from beginner to advanced level all the way to instructor certification. We have taken all of the guess work out and made it easy for you to teach this cutting edge curriculum.
We are keeping the teaching license fee low, so anyone can afford it. With just one student on a one-year contract, paying $100/month, you will make a profit on your investment (even after buying all the videos and taking all the tests up to Instructor level

Who is eligible? You can become a group leader as soon as you've passed the White Belt 1 stripe test. This is a great way to get more training partners so you can get to instructor level faster. You can take your apprentice instructor test when you are a blue belt! You can become an instructor when you are a purple belt. Contact us if you want your rank from another school to be credited. Your name is on all certificates. Your students cannot bypass you to train directly with us without your consent.

As a training group leader, you can video test your students, and send us the links for review. Your name will appear on the certificates as test administrator.
Once you are a certified instructor in the module, you will not need to send us videos any more. You will retain a portion of the testing fee your students pay and send us only a certificate fee. You will be listed as Instructor on the certificates.
VIDEO TESTING
Video testing is easy! First make sure that your student has been properly registered with JKD Unlimited and has a valid membership. Then video tape your student using any camera even your phone’s camera, and upload it to youtube. Once you are an instructor, you do not need to submit the videos when testing your students.
YOUTUBE.COM UPLOAD:
1: Upload the video to your youtube account. Youtube offers 3 options: public, unlisted, private. Make sure to select "UNLISTED". Do NOT ever make the video public on youtube as our testing procedure is copyrighted.
Name the file like this: LastName_FirstName_Belt ? Level ? Test_BJJFTS_month day year. For example, if Joe Smith is taking the test for White belt 1 stripe and sending us the test on January 1st, 2017, the file name would be: Smith_Joe_White Belt Stripe 1_BJJFTS_01-01-2017
2: Pay for the test and include the link to the video in the NOTE field when you checkout.
After we review the test, you will receive a written evaluation with feedback and the digital file of your signed certificate via e-mail.
